Travel, change, interest, excitement!

About this project

"The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame is a children's story that lives in the hearts and minds of its readers deeply till their adulthood. With its subtle blend of anthropomorphism and very-British humor, the book is a classic tale of river life and friendship.

This is a charming story, that magically has changed my attitude towards little animals: from fear up to curiousity and tenderness. I really injoyed process of creating characters of Mole, Rat, Badger and my famous Tod for this beautifully written classic novel of friendship adventure around the river.

I love the way the kids are poking their fingers on my illustrations while reading this book: "Just look! Rat is laughing!" or:  "Mole has lost his home. He is so sad. He is going to cry". I see their empathy and emotions. I feel that they are getting closer to the main characters - the same way like it was happening to me while I was creating them. Every time my hand was holding the brush, my heart was fulfilled with love... love for the story, for the characters, for this book itself, for the children and for my work.

Creating illustrations for the children's books  makes me feel that I can do something beautiful and important that changes the world for the better.

I sincerely hope that your kids and you will enjoy this book and its illustrations as I really do.
